FREE AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM
FOR
K-3RD GRADE STUDENTS
AT COOLIDGE, MCKINLEY, WASHINGTON AND WILSON
Session 1 February 29-April 15, 2016
Session 2 April 18- May 27, 2016
REGISTRATIONS ARE STILL BEING ACCEPTED.
THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR SESSION 1 IS FEBRUARY 24TH!
Your registration will only be accepted at the SEF office in person. Please do not take your registration to the school office or your child’s teacher.
Classes are filled on a first come basis and limited to 20 students.

Class Offerings
Kindergarten– An Exploration of Music and Instruments ( max 20 students)
This program is designed especially for kindergarten students and utilizes various percussion instruments to explore rhythm, melody, and ensemble music.
1st Graders– Drumline ( max 20 students)
This program provides instruction in music, rhythm, and drumline performance. This is a fun, engaging class that will be popular with the kids.
2nd Graders– Ukulele ( max 20 students)
Students will explore music literacy as well as strumming and picking techniques. The ukulele is an excellent introductory instrument because of its size and fairly easy playing technique.
3rd Graders– Piano/Keyboard ( max 20 students)
This group class will provide instruction in music that can be used for all other instruments and voice. It is a wonderful introduction to music fundamentals like reading music, scales and rhythm.
