Live Registration starts Friday, April 11
Dear Parents and Guardians of our Elementary and Middle School Students,
As a past participant of our summer program, I am pleased to invite your child to apply to the 2014 SEF Summer Academy! As you may know, students who continue learning during the summer are better prepared for the next school year and less likely to lose knowledge gained during the school year. Over time, this can give them an edge in the competitive college admissions process.
This summer we are excited to offer an exciting array of enrichment courses to help students reach these goals. Knowing the importance of a quality teacher in your child’s learning, we have once again recruited our most talented, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers. Also, available to all students on our elementary and middle school campuses is breakfast and lunch free of charge.
For Summer Academy 2014, SEF will operate a half-day program for students in grades kindergarten through eight.
Timeline – Summer academy programs will run 5 days a week from Monday, June 16 through Friday, July 11, 2014 following the schedule below – please note there is no school scheduled for Friday, July 4 due to the holiday:
K-5 Roosevelt Elementary School – 8:00 am – 12:15 pm
6-8 Jefferson Middle School – 7:45 am – 12:00 pm
Eligibility
All students are welcome to complete a registration application for our fee based program.
How to Enroll
To enroll your child in the summer academy, you may submit a completed registration form along with payment attached. All courses will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Course catalogs will be sent home with your student beginning April 7th and will be available online at SEFfor8schools.org. Registration begins at our LIVE registration on Friday, April 11th 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the district office. You may mail or drop off your registration to the SEF office beginning Monday, April 14th.
