Fourth and Fifth Grade Students interested in improving their writing skills! Join us this summer in our new class ~
“Imaginary Path through Common Core”
Travel through key periods of time, learning about the ancient, medieval and modern world, and explore writing using the write path to get your final destination in becoming a successful student! This class will implement common core writing strategies, such as note-taking, levels or questioning, Question Response Format, using primary and secondary sources, steps of the writing process, critical thinking skills, Socratic Method activities and collaboration. Students will utilize grade level text and learn to make connections by expressing themselves through writing using project based learning, creating story boards, poetry, and timelines while learning successful note taking, writing and higher-level thinking strategies.
