Our Kids Need You – Seeking Generous Donors
SEF is looking for community members who are willing to support our SGUSD students this summer. The Summer Academy has a new class this year called the “One Room School House” for 3rd-5th grade students who are developing their English skills and need more tailored instruction in reading, writing and speaking.
For many students who struggle academically, summer enrichment courses can be the essential bridge to success in the fall. SEF’s goal is to fully fund this specialized program through generous community contributions. To date, several parents, community members and local businesses have agreed to directly sponsor a student.
