SEF helps fund college readiness in SGUSD
Naviance is a comprehensive college and career readiness platform for high school students and their parents that helps align student strengths and interests to post-secondary goals, and strives to improve student outcomes.
Over the course of a student’s high school education, GHS College & Career Counselor Ms. Machado states “students can create a 4-year course plan, build a resume, and manage college application deadlines. Students and parents can also research careers and colleges by comparing GPA and standardized test scores to actual historical data from past Gabrielino students who have applied and been admitted. Naviance also lets us share information with the students and their parents about upcoming meetings and events, local scholarship opportunities, and other resources for college and career information”.
