SEF Funds Support Music Education
Thanks to the support of our community partners, SEF provides programming that serves thousands of students across 8 school sites in the San Gabriel Unified School District. We love receiving and sharing updates on the programs we support, like music classes for elementary students!
During the 2018/19 school year, SEF support for the SGUSD Music Immersion & Expansion program reached over $14,000. Today, we are still smiling!
Music gives students the skills that support their academic success in many areas of development including intellectual and social-emotional learning, math and motor skills, language development and literacy. We truly believe the arts have the power to change lives!
We love seeing the smiles on students’ faces as they experience the joy of creating music. The kids get to play on African drums, scarves, boomwhackers, keyboard/music stands and posters all purchased with funds provided by the foundation.
