$3,100 worth of books received from Kids Need to Read

In support of the 155 Mandarin and Spanish dual language immersion students in the SGUSD, SEF received $3,100 worth of literature from Kids Need to Read. We are looking forward to sharing the smiles of the students’ faces with our generous donors when we distribute the books to the classrooms.

Kids Need To Read was founded on the desire to empower young people through literacy. This organization supports agencies and school districts throughout the nation as they strive to make more books accessible for every student.

We are thrilled to share these books with the almost 155 students enrolled in 7 of the Mandarin and Spanish dual immersion classes at both McKinley and Wilson Elementary School just as soon as they are all back together on their respective campuses in the fall.

From our community in California to you… thank you Kids Need to Read for sharing literature, smiles, hopes and dreams with our students!
