Virtual Adult Workshop Surrounding Mental Health Awareness

SEF's Workshop Series Presents the Adult Virtual Mental Health Workshop

The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting quarantine have brought stressful changes for families, especially those with children. For students, the transition to distance learning have resulted in more screen time and an abrupt withdrawal from social-emotional connections with friends and teachers.

This is a NO-FEE virtual adult workshop. Registration deadline is July 17th, 2020.

Classes offered:

ENGLISH: Wednesday, July 22, 2020 (NOTE: English workshop is full, Spanish is available)

SPANISH: Wednesday, July 29, 2020

Time: 7:30pm-8:30pm

Instructor Dr. Maria L. Martinez is a clinical psychologist and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who supervises the LA County Department of Mental Health School Threat Assessment Response Team (START). She provides threat assessment, intervention and management of students of all ages and provides training and education to many, including community members, parents, and students. She has been deployed to many areas for Emergency Disaster Response, including crisis response county wide due to COVID-19.
