RSVP 6/30/13. Thanks to caring friends like you, this year we’ve served over 5,000 students, supplied many diverse programs and provided countless hours of enrichment to all our SGUSD schools.
We know you’re in the middle of last-minute summer preparations, but may we take just a moment to share something of great importance with you? This year has been one of our busiest ever, yet we are still not quite at our $150,000 annual fundraising goal. Our fiscal year ends on June 30th, when we must commit to which programs we will be capable of funding next year, 2013-2014.
In the midst of the busyness of school-end activities and summer prep, we hope you’ll make a special gift to San Gabriel Educational Foundation to help all the children in our community. If you have not had a chance to donate, or are able to donate again, your end-of-school-year gift is vital to our success in funding programs for next year.

Please find a copy of a recent press release distributed to local media outlets on behalf of the San Gabriel Educational Foundation. The release details the receipt of a very generous donation in the amount of $27,000 on 11-30-12 from the Los Angeles/San Gabriel Hilton Hotel.
We are extremely grateful for the continued support that we receive from the Hilton. Their investment in the foundation has the power to create opportunities through program support truly making a difference in all eight of our exceptional public schools. As we strive to enhance the excellent educational programs that are synonymous with the San Gabriel Unified School District we are fortunate to have strong partnerships with our local businesses. The Los Angeles/San Gabriel Hilton Hotel is a leading example of how these partnerships not only strengthen our schools but also the conditions and resources within the community.

The annual event is one of the foundation’s primary fundraising events, and its success is a direct result of the support we receive from our community. Your generosity enables the foundation to remain true to our mission and provide support for all of the eight schools in our district. Our goal is to touch the life of every child, in every classroom in the district. We are asking every family to participate in our campaign. Together we can inspire and achieve!!

We are pleased to report that SEF is now an active participant in the Holmes Body Shop “Give Back Rewards” Program. SEF has partnered with Holmes Body Shop and is now eligible to receive 5% of a total car repair bill. The process is simple, prior to dropping off a vehicle for repairs, go online and print out a certificate. When repairs are complete Holmes will mail a check directly to the foundation along with a letter letting us know who the gift is from. There is no donation limit on the bill and no charge to the customer in any form. Please spread the word to your friends and family about this wonderful opportunity for foundation and the students of SGUSD.
